Safeway:

I'm going to punk out and link you to Mommy Making Money's great post on the scarce Safeway deals this week. She does a great job with coupon matching. Be aware that the meat prices do differ. I was really hoping for something better from Safeway this week because we're running low on baby food and the garden is taking forever to grow.

Thanks for the link! I agree, Safeway is less-than-stellar again this week. :)

Heads up that my Albertsons won't take an internet printable for a "free product". Sometimes they don't pay attention to the price, and sometimes they do. I think the real purpose and intent of the policy is to avoid IP's that say "Free X" or Free X wyb Y". However, if the Planters are under $3 and then you get $3 off they will be "free". So keep your eyes open, or use the U-Scan!

Thanks for the deals!

Thanks for the tips. I tried Albertsons today (I'm a Safeway gal). I did okay, but they wouldn't take the Planters coupon because they were $2.50 and the coupon was $3. I asked if he could adjust it to $2.50 and he said no. And come to think of it, he didn't give me my coupon back. Argh.

cj and amy,

Albertsons can be difficult with coupons that create overage. I've had the best luck with using u-scan and then looking dumb when the coupon doesn't scan. Just be real helpful and let the cashier know the price of the item and that they can adjust the price of the coupon down if they need to. Huge bummer to lose the Planters coupon - they are a good one right now!
